The Jibs are an Austin-native indie rock band made up of singer and guitarist Will Clark, guitarist and keyboardist Caden Westmoreland, bassist Roman Parnell, and drummer Eric Schueler. The four met as freshmen at the University of Texas sailing club within their first few days on campus. They immediately began writing music and consequently never returned to the sailing club.
After only a few weeks of working together, The Jibs wrote a collection of songs and spared no time recording their debut self-titled EP. Taking inspiration from the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix as well as modern day indie influences such as Alabama Shakes and Tame Impala, the band’s soul is passionately grounded as authentic, intelligent and honest music.
During their freshman year alone, The Jibs gained a strong local fanbase among The University of Texas at Austin's students and landed their first festival appearance performing late night shows for The Ride Festival in Telluride, CO, which featured Beck, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Radio Moscow, and many more.
The Jibs’ debut EP is currently available for download or streaming on any major music platform. The band is currently playing shows in Austin, Tyler and Dallas while working on their next release.
